Greetings! Just as our amazing Fall Ball season begins, we are only a few weeks away from taking the first step to beginning preparations for the 2022 Spring and Fall Ball seasons, along with our travel program, too. Yes, that’s correct! Next year begins in mid-September with the election of our 2021-22 OYO Board of Directors.
We’re seeking more volunteers to make a difference by creating memorable experiences for all. If you enjoy giving back to the community, demonstrate amazing grace and patience with ballplayers and families and desire to team up with fellow volunteers and make new, lasting friendships, then the 2021-22 OYO Board of Directors is the place to be. The OYO Board of Directors is one of the largest local youth sports all-volunteer boards. We still have a wide range of vacant positions needing volunteers like you who can truly make a difference and improve the overall experience for all our ballplayers and families. The positions range from chairing key functions to being commissioners of one of our divisions. What’s more, the many improvements we’ve all enjoyed and benefited from around the park in 2021 didn’t magically happen. However, we also know we need even more volunteers to help maintain and improve the park, the fields and our surroundings. As a result, we are specifically looking for more volunteers to join our ever-important grounds crew committee, which has five members currently and we hope we can double the volunteer crew and keep the work to a minimum for each person!
So, why you? During the past 20 years, more than 250 individuals have volunteered their time and talents as board members to help ensure our ballplayers and families could truly enjoy their OYO experience each season. We are fortunate to have a very diverse board representing every aspect of OYO’s baseball and softball programs and stakeholders. We are not just board colleagues, but friends outside of OYO, too. Being a board member is fun and rewarding as each board member finds great satisfaction in rolling up their sleeves and jumping in the trenches to work with fellow board members who work tirelessly for the children and families of OYO. More importantly, we are just everyday moms, dads, coaches, team parents, fans and more — like you — who have a ballplayer or two playing at OYO.

email OYO President Brittany Anderson to let us know you’re interested. Then, Brittany or one of our current executive board members will work with you to pair you with the role or need that best fits your interests.
