COLLECTING DONATIONS THRU MAY 29 FOR MANLOVE TOURNAMENT SILENT AUCTION

Through the support and engagement of many local businesses, the Oaklandon Youth Organization (OYO) is able to accomplish many amazing things for all the players, families and teams who make OYO their place for both rec league and tournament experiences.

What’s more, OYO is a family. And one of the greatest examples of our league’s support is now running 24 years strong. In June 2001, we lost one of our own. David Manlove. A once prominent OYO ballplayer in our rec league and all-star programs, David developed an addiction to drugs and alcohol which eventually led to David’s death after he huffed from a can of computer duster before jumping into a swimming pool and his heart went into cardiac arrest.

OYO has hosted the annual David Manlove Memorial Tournament every year since 2002 and all proceeds are donated to The 24 Group, a foundation founded by the Manlove family to raise awareness and education while supporting families affected by addiction. Since its inception, OYO has donated more than $55,000 to their charity. Learn more about this tournament online.

What’s more, in 2023, the David Manlove Memorial Tournament experience expanded to feature a silent auction. This year, we hope to continue this newly added tradition and expand our offerings.

Is your company or business willing to donate of a product, service, experience, etc. for the tournament’s silent auction on Sunday, June 1, 2025? We are accepting donations through Thursday, May 29. Access the donation form here!

Our past auctions have featured sporting event tickets, tourism attractions, lodging accommodations, dining gift cards, jewelry, apparel, health and beauty products, sports supplies and accessories, home improvement services, and much, much more. In addition, OYO is a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax-deductible in accordance with all local laws and guidelines.

If you have a donation for The David Manlove Memorial Tournament silent auction, please send an email to oyotournaments@gmail.com, or contact OYO Vice President of Administration Lexis McGee at 317.413.1676.

Once again, thank you for your time, consideration and interest of this important initiative to honor David’s memory and support The 24 Group.

Sincerely,
The OYO Board of Directors
