Mandatory Coaches Meeting Is September 28

Mandatory Pre-Tournament Coaches’ Meeting Is Sunday, September 28 at 7:15 p.m. on Field 2. Tee Ball coaches do not need to attend this meeting.

We ask all head coaches (or a team representative in the event you cannot attend) to join us for this important and required meeting, which will help ensure every team approaches the tournament upholding The OYO Way, following the Code of Conduct and honoring and protecting what’s most important to all of us at OYO.

This meeting is set for Sunday, September 28 at 7:15 p.m. at OYO on Field 2.

Once again, your attendance also helps you earn additional coach incentive dollars, and also keeps you eligible to coach in the rec league tournament the following weekend!

Coaches Must Complete Player Evals by September 28

Player evaluations must be completed by Sunday, September 28. This applies for all coaches in all divisions, including Tee Ball.

The online process of coaches completing the end-of-season player evaluation has been a constant at OYO for 18 years. Please find attached a simple one-page PDF to complete your team’s evals in LeagueApps by Sunday, September 28.

What’s more, successful completion of this evaluation helps you earn additional coach incentive dollars, and also keeps you eligible to coach in the rec league tournament the following weekend!

Ready. Set. Smile! Fall Ball Photo Day Schedule and Order Instructions

Dear Parents and Coaches,

We are excited to be back for Fall Ball photos this year.  We have worked hand in hand with the league reps to align your photo time as close to your game time as possible to create a better photo day/game day experience. Let’s be honest, you LOVE LOVE LOVE photo day…but you are there to PLAY BALL!

The 2025 OYO Fall Ball Photo Day is set for Sunday, September 7. All teams should gather near the evergreen trees behind the outfield fence of Field 4, and teams should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled time. The complete Photo Day schedule appears below.

If you are new to OYO, all players will receive a memory mate as part of your Fall Ball registration fee. However, many families want much more than that too! So, place your online orders soon — and all orders must be completed online at www.handrphoto.com before photo day.

What’s more, we will give away five free digital packages randomly to those who place an order before photo day. Orders are accepted until midnight on photo day. Even if you get home after your game and decide you want to place an order, choose “ORDER BEFORE PHOTO DAY” and you will be all set.

To place your order, head over to www.handrphoto.com and the site will walk you through your order.  Have a GREAT WEEK and see you on Sunday, September 7!

2025 Fall Ball Game Schedules Now Released!

OYO is excited to announce the release of our 2025 Fall Ball Season game schedule for all divisions. The OYO Scheduling Committee has worked tirelessly with our league VPs, commissioners and coaches to finalize the schedule for the upcoming season involving more than 375 regular season games across seven Sundays. Unless a glaring error is uncovered, the game schedules are final as nearly all fields are utilized in every game slot.

To view your ballplayer’s regular season game schedule (and ongoing practice schedule) for the regular season, follow three simple steps:
(1) Log in to LeagueApps via oyoball.org.
(2) Access your account dashboard.
(3) Click on My Schedule at the bottom of the sidebar along the right side of the screen.

And don’t forget, all teams are scheduled for games on Sunday, October 5. Tee Ball will play its final regular season games on Field 14 that day. All other teams will participate in our annual single-elimination tournament, and the brackets will be released in mid-September.

If you have any questions about your game schedule, please contact your team’s coach or division commissioner for more information.

Thank you for choosing OYO as your place for baseball and softball!

Still Time To Register This Fall … But Roster Openings Are Limited

Come take the field at OYO this fall — and encourage your friends to do the same! We have room for more ballplayers! So, be sure you are registered and then tell your friends there’s still space for them for the 2025 Fall Ball Season.

All future registrations will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Once we reach maximum capacity, we will initiate a waiting list process (where players can register and be added to the wait list at no charge). That said, based on experience, we know we will receive a flurry of registrations as the practice season commences. Don’t delay or you may find your ballplayer left off the ballfield this fall.

REGISTER TODAY! RECRUIT YOUR FRIENDS TODAY, TOO!
Let your friends, classmates, neighbors and relatives know they can still join us for our 18th annual Fall Ball season. Review our online overview for the 2025 Fall Ball Season! Once gone, there will be no additional openings available, just wait lists unfortunately. Act now!

As registrations continue to flow in daily, we have 1-2 openings per most team in each of our divisions. With registrations outpacing last year’s trends, we are quickly approaching maximum capacity and the openings remaining are all we have left to offer to interested families. So, act now!

Don’t Delay! Register Today!

Now back to recruiting for the 2026 OYO Board Term!

So, more than ever, we’re seeking volunteers to eventually join OYO’s 50-position, 60-member Board of Directors — making it one of the largest youth sports all-volunteer board of directors in Central Indiana. If you enjoy giving back to the community and teaming up with friends from throughout OYO to create memorable experiences, then the 2026 OYO Board of Directors will be the place to be.

What’s the reward of being an OYO Board Member?

Being a board member is an honor and a privilege at OYO. We are fortunate to have a very diverse board. We have board members who have been involved for nearly 25 years and some as recent as last fall. We have board member representation from baseball and softball. We have some many from the rec league and some from the travel program, too. We have a nice balance between moms and dads, aunts and uncles and we also have a blend of those with children participating in the league and those who don’t and just enjoy giving back to a program that supported their family over the years.

So, why not you?

Dating back to our records from as early as 2002, more than 300 individuals have volunteered their time and talents as board members to help ensure our ballplayers and families could truly enjoy their OYO experience each season. These are not just board colleagues, but friends outside of OYO, too. Being a board member is fun and rewarding, too. Each board member finds great satisfaction in rolling up their sleeves and jumping in the trenches to work with fellow board members who work tirelessly for the children and families of OYO. More importantly, we are just everyday moms and dads — like you — who have a ballplayer or two playing at OYO.

So, why not now?

Just simply email the OYO President to express your interest in learning more about joining the OYO Board of Directors. Then, we’ll work with you to pair you with the role or need that best fits your interests. The chart below highlights the overall composition of the new board of directors organizational structure.

Elections for the 2026 OYO Board of Directors is Monday, September 8, 2025 at Jenn Park.

Thank you for your continued support and choosing OYO as your place for baseball and softball. Now, we hope you will answer this call and make OYO the beneficiary of your servant leadership efforts in 2026. Rest assured, more than 1300 families and 2000 ballplayers will greatly appreciate the difference you make.

Join the Board!

2025 Fall Ball Coaches’ Meeting Recap

OYO Board Members recently conducted our exclusive Coaches’ Meeting and Orientation for our Fall Ball softball and baseball coaches to kick off our 18th Fall Ball season at OYO.

This meeting helps ensure all our coach volunteers are aligned in how they will leverage our organization’s resources and collaborate frequently to maximize the development of all our ballplayers across the league. What’s more, they are prepared to demonstrate great teamwork in providing our young softball and baseball players a memorable on-field experience this spring.

We hope the information attached provides our coaches with the details needed to execute a quality experience for all our ballplayers and their families. If you have any questions about the upcoming season, please contact an OYO Board Member.

As always, thank you for choosing OYO as your place for baseball and softball this fall. And, we truly appreciate you sharing your talents and volunteering to be a coach this season. Play Ball!
